About the room

Toddlers want to do everything themselves, so Bluebells is set up to let them: low sinks, a self-service snack table, aprons on hooks they can reach and the garden door open most of the day.

We help with potty training when you and your child are ready, never before, and we'll do it the same way you do at home. Most children have a sleep after lunch on mats in the quiet corner.

A day in the room

Toddlers like knowing what comes next, so the day follows the same pattern, with plenty of room for the unexpected.

7:30am

Arrive, breakfast and free play until everyone's here.

9:15am

Morning circle: hello song, the weather and what we're doing today.

9:45am

Paint, sand, water, playdough and building, inside and out.

11:45am

Lunch at the little tables, then teeth and a sleep for those who need one.

Afternoon

Garden time, music and movement, tea at 3:30pm and quiet play until home time.

What to pack

  • Spare clothes, socks and pants if potty training

  • Nappies and wipes if they still use them

  • Wellies and a waterproof all-in-one

  • A comforter for nap time

  • A named water bottle

Label everything, especially wellies. Every pair looks the same at 5pm.

Come and see us

The best way to choose a nursery is to visit one.

Look round with your little one, meet the room leaders and ask anything you like. Visits take about 45 minutes, any weekday.
